Funding the Recording ...

It was amazing to me how excited everyone became by the "Mass for the Living" project. I began to receive all kinds of encouragement, help and contacts.

My friend, Wendy Carrier, a long-time member of PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, suggested I approach THRIVENT FINANCIAL for LUTHERANS for help with funding the cost of recording the Mass for the FOUNDATION for the SACRED ARTS competition.

To my great joy, there was a special grant that covered exactly the cost of that recording. I wrote the grant and the proposal was accepted. THRIVENT FINANCIAL for LUTHERANS was able to help sponsor the event.

When this was announced, I sent out another press release and Brenda Tremblay from WXXI invited me to interview ... word began to get out.

The recording was made and I loaded the tracks onto an mp3 player onto a box on this blogspot ... Check it out!
